HE LOVED MUSIC…

... listening to folk songs, country western, ethnic songs, popular hits by Sinatra! His favorites included Broadway show tunes, as well as Christmas songs, hymns, and more! There was a favorite restaurant we would go to occasionally called Asti, in the village, where people would get up and sing opera. Here is a link to a youtube video about Asti. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RIuoetnZwM Bob studied at the Singer’s Forum in Brooklyn, and also worked with the Norwegian Singing Society and he always looked forward to the Christmas holiday performances by the New York Revels. One year he, himself, was part of the chorus! Each year, he would try to get tickets for both of us to go and enjoy the show one evening. According to his FaceBook page, favorite singers of his were Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Frank Sinatra, and Alan Jackson. If anyone visiting this site would like to upload a song (MP3 format seems to work), please do that. The song that I am using for the home page is William Minifie singing Lord of the Dance at a New York Revels show in 2010. (I hope he won't mind! I found it on You Tube, and think it is something Bob would have liked.) On the homepage, there is a button that you can use to mute the sound. Or, if some additional tracks are available, you could select another one, to play.
