Bob Solebello was born in Staten Island, NY on December 01, 1935. He is much loved and will always be remembered by his friends and family.
The youngest of four children, he attended Cooper Union School of Art for two years, located in Manhattan’s East Village. An early job was being the personal assistant to Basil O’Connor, co-founder of the National Foundation, an organization in the early 60s that focused on the prevention of birth defects and infant mortality. (In this capacity, he met celebrities of the era – a fun and exciting job for a young man.) Throughout his life, Bob loved taking courses. When I first met him, he was taking acting classes at the Westside Repertory Theatre in NYC. He played roles in several plays, and even did some directing. Through the years, he took many accounting courses to stay current in his field, and he prepared my taxes for the last few years -- always doing an excellent job.
